Kindergarten

I am sure you ALL want to hear about Kindergarten. :-)

Actually, I was very ready to finally start Kindergarten. I have heard so much about it that I just wanted to do it. Common people, move and let me do it. I got this!

My new school's name is North Raleigh Christian Academy, aka NRCA. Weeks ago I asked my parents if all the schools are academies and after this school which academy am I going to go. It does make sense to me, specially if you look at it from my perspective.  I have spent the last four years at Little Pros Academy , now this NRCA Academy, so my question was very legit.  However, they had a good laugh about it and told me after I will graduate from here it will be my decision which academy I will continue my studies.

By the time Friday came, Meet the Teacher day, I was excited, curious, a bit scared but at the same time ready to see with my own eyes what is this "Kindergarten" that everybody, all the time talks about. I have had it with all the books, questions, stories about Kindergarten , just wanted to do it.

I have seen my school before, Dad took me the previous years for some sport venues here, the last couple of weeks we turned in different paperwork with Mom- I even had to see the doctor for Kindergarten and have 4 shuts but that is an other story! So, I knew that my school is gorgeous, big, has all the sports that I want to play with soccer fields, basket ball courses, has the own swimming pool, chapel, theater, music band and probably so many other things that I will get know very soon.

Let's go to school in my Pokemon shirt and backpack

My Kindergarten teacher's name is : Mrs. Gardner. I love her,  we all love her, including my parents. She is kind and warm-hearted, has lots of experience in teaching and her whole family is either working here or her two sons graduated from here. How cool is that! When she prays, I love to hear her voice but this first week nobody said "Amen" at the end, not even me, I think we all were a bit nervous. Mom said ,  it's OK to say it out loud, I think everyone said it in their head.

We have different specials, like: P.E., music, art, Spanish, computer, and library. I like  all of them so far,  and on Thursdays we have chapel which I loved this week.

I was very excited about food this week, I have to take lunch with me and two snacks because I have a long day. This system is new for Mom , she has to wake up early to prepare all this for me and she is new at it but really trying. I love everything , I'm not a picky eater  at all and I was even allowed to order burger on Monday and pizza on Friday. Mom is not crazy about their food but it is what it is.

After school is done at 2 pm I am heading over to the cafeteria again but this time  for  the after school program with Mrs. Smith. Funny thing is that my Dad's Kindergarten teacher's name was also Mrs. Smith. :-)  We,  McCormicks like Mrs. Smiths. Of course, they are not the same person but I think it's pretty cool. She is very kind too. So far, my favorite activity is the playground , I like to go out and play with all the kids. One of the teachers told my mom not once but twice how well behaved, well mannered, easy going I am. She should see me at home!! Mom was happy to hear this, she had a big smile on her face.

In my class room with Dad

These are the rules, if we keep all of them during the week we earn a sticker every day and at the end we have a Treasure hunt

In the lobby of the school, in the background with the library

Every day Mom picks me up at 4pm and asks about my day and I say: Kindergarten is great!
