Cute

When Alex was over here this week, he had these cars: one dump truck, one jeep. I have plenty of those and still I had to have them. He, of course, did not wanted to part from his toys but I begged him. :-)) Now, I am taking the cars with me everywhere, took even to the ice cream store where the dump truck fell on the floor and became two different parts. Sorry!

Alex was chasing me down the slide, I went head down for the first time, mom was scared for me. Ha-ha, how much fun!

Horse back riding on Cally--CLICK for more pics and videos

We are so lucky that Jutka neni has a horse or how I like to call it, "horsy". She keeps Cally on this super cool farm with other horses in Cary and visits her often. This past weekend we enjoyed a nice autumn weather, so we all went and rid Cally. Sammy, Matyi, Zsozso, Peti and I love to ride horses and we were standing in line for being the next to ride. Had a great time, we just missed Christopher!
Thank you Jutka neni for letting us ride Cally, next time we will bring carrots!

Uncle Tom visited me

It happened to be this week that my Uncle Tom came to visit me. Aunt Carolyn had a class to attend and the plus side of it was that I got to hung out a bit with my uncle. He is pretty cool, I always enjoy sitting on his shoulder, pulling on his ears or get his shoes. He met me at the Gymboree class and first I did not want to believe my eyes. Is it possible? We played, got lunch at Whole Food and I got a super cool present. A moccasin! I will try it on and send pictures. Thank you so much for it! Also, thanks for visiting me, I LOVE to have my family around.

Play date--CLICK on photos for more pictures

I love to have play dates. I like to have all my friends around me and just run, play, share my toys--just kidding--,eat and have fun together. Halloween is approaching,so we made very "spooktacular" greeting cards for our families. Look for it in the mail!
Thanks for coming over!

Pumpkin carving

This afternoon some of my friends and their mommies came over. We wanted to carve pumpkins, ha-ha. What has happened: our moms were carving the pumpkins and we were playing with my diggers, excavators, bulldozers and other toys while eating some snacks. It was really nice being together, thanks for spending time with me!

Dinosaur!

Hill Ridge Farm with Alex---CLICK on the PHOTO

The same Sunday but in the afternoon my parents decided to take me to the farm. I supposed to sleep but I was still so excited from my morning, meeting my Hungarian friends that I only took a "Shekleton" nap for 20 minutes and I was ready to continue. We had a date with Alex, and the two of us are always having lots of fun. We love to ride the train, I love the horses, we run around a lot and of course feeding the goats is a good one too.
Halloween is approaching,we have picked pumpkins, ate funnel cakes and jumped, jumped, jumped.

Thanks Alex for spending time with me!

A nice Sunday with Hungarians----CLICK on PHOTO

We wanted to play soccer but it was so nice to see all of my friends together that we played everything but soccer. In the fresh air we got super hungry and thanks to Adrien we had plenty of pancakes and hot dogs. I ate two huge pieces and showed some more into my face. I think, even mom was looking at me in disbelieve. Peti's toys were awesome and he is always generous, he does not mind sharing. How does he do it? --have no idea, at this point I am not a big fan of sharing, specially my trains and bulldozers. We had an amazing Sunday together, all happy and peaceful. Thanks for having us over Erdok Family!

Sleeping or not ?

My mom has some more things to write:

September was the first month that I decided what ever happens I am not going in into Lorent's room any more overnight. I can't do it physically, mentally, I am just constantly exhausted. Keeping up with him during the day feels like being one of the extreme marathon runners (except I am missing any requirements for it), even an easy day is minimum a half a marathon.

So, we are in training....in sleep training. If you are reading this blog and have any suggestions how I could help him, please don't hold yourself back and let me know.

Our night time routine is always the same: he goes up on the staircase around 7:20-7:30 pm, bath with music, pj time, last bottle of milk with the same music and sound machine and by 7:45 pm he is sleeping. We did the sleep training with him when he was 4 and half month old, then he has learned how to fall asleep. It took him four month ( I am sure we were the tafest clients of Shelly) but he got it and there is no more cries, no fuss, just the super men move landing on the bed and going to sleep.

The second part of the problem, with the waking up in the middle of the night and way to early in the morning has never been resolved.

Here is this month in numbers:

15 nights -----he slept through until 7 am ( actually 5 of these nights were until 6:30 am but I am considering this into this group ) this is the great news
6 nights ------he woke up in the middle of night somewhere between 2:00- 5:00 am and was up for 2 hours to one time 3and 1/2 hours
9 nights ------he woke up to early, between 5:30 am and 5:45 am. My tactic in this case that I let him speak and party until 6:30 am , then I give him a bottle of warm milk, change and put him back to bed. Sometimes he falls back to sleep for an other hour , sometimes he doesn't and I take him out of the crib around 7:15 am.

What do you think?

My vocabulary...

I am finishing the 20th month and I just want to remember what are the words that i was able to say at this age. Here they are as captured by my mom:
oh-oh
ball
bubble
hi
gau (he used to say it for dogs, when he was around 15 month)
vau-vau-vau (raff-raff) or wow-wow
apa (daddy)
Ocean
Oshe
car
up
shake
shoe or he likes to say "a shoe"
juice
ka-ka
ci-ci
truck
baba (baby)
cica (kitty cat)
Elmo
egy (one)
trash
apple
alma (apple)
no, no, no :-))))))
choo-choo
sit
csucs (sit)
more
na-na (for the banana)
eso (rain)
book
bull ( for bulldozer, this is the newest and most favorite word now)

Vau-vau , ka-ka

Mom wants to write smething:
Since yesterday Lorent is putting two words together. They are very simple but for us they are amazing.
In the morning we went for our usual walk with Ocean and Lorent looking at our dog doing her thing, proclaimed: "vau-vau ka-ka" meaning Ocean dog is pooping. Then , like this would not be sufficient enough he repeated in different variations: "Ocean ka-ka" and "Oshe ka-ka".

I was so happy to hear these combinations!

Now, they are other, very major, important combinations, like:

"Apa, (daddy) car."
"Ma, sit."
"Ma, shoe."

We can't wait to hear what else is coming!

Football, umm, Soccer, err....

Yesterday I went to my neighbors football game, he plays cornerback &
wide reciever. Well, some kids left this soccer ball laying around, so
now I'm confused, I like this round ball, but curious about that
strange brown one too... In any case, these stadium steps and
cheerleaders are very cool...

Bulldozer, pushing dirt

Today, I went for a bike ride and the bulldozer I saw yesterday was
working on a project; it was pushing dirt around near the trail where
it goes under the new bridge. I've added a couple of words to my
vocabulary - I can say "DIRT" now, and I can say "BULL" for Bulldozer.
My Apa (Dad) laughs when I say this, I'm not sure why.

Bulldozer!

I'm learning about trucks and heavy equipment. Today on my bike ride
we stopped by a bulldozer and excavator. I will post the excavator
picture later, I have to take my bath now!

TwentyTrucks.com

I have a new DVD that teaches us about 20 different trucks. This is a
delimber! It takes branches off of trees;

The Asheboro Zoo--CLICK on the photo for more

We have been preparing for this day to the zoo for a while. We had to wait until the weather gets a bit colder but even today the weather was not very cooperative. It was raining, sometimes pouring so when we got to Asheboro we had to go to a mall to play for a while and wait until the rain stoped. Some of us turned back home, we truly missed them.

....but we made it to Africa and man oh man I was happy to see gorgeous, big, elephants. Beautiful, striped zebras. Some rhinos, a white alligator, ostriches, gorillas at feeding time, and the amazing park itself. There was not enough time to see everything, I got tired because I woke up with the birds at 5:45 am and it was a super busy day.

I was happy to see all these exotic animals, hear their voices, observe their habits, their movements and spend time with my friends.

North-America, we are coming back!

Monday morning off to school

I'm always happy to go to school. Look at me, happy and ready to go. :-)

Hill Ridge Farm

Sunday was a clear but cold day here, specially after the sudden temperature drop. My friend, Peti and I had a date at the Hill Ridge Farm. That place is always fun, the ponies were back after taking a summer vacation so we rid them, all the animals were out, so we were able to feed them. One of my favorite is the train ride, and also enjoyed the hay ride. Now, we have stopped at a pumpkin patch to pick out our first pumpkin of the season. Thanks Peti, I had a great time!

The binky king

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my binkies. I am not attached to anything except my binkies and maybe I have a slight shoe fetish going on but that's it. No stuffed animals, no blanky, no lovey, none of that baby stuff. So, my parents are still allowing me to entertain and calm myself with the binkies, or cumi how mom calls them. Recently, we have started counting them and I already know "egy" which means one, the rest is called out by mom. They call me the Binky King, I agree.

Last day at the pool

This was my second pool season and I definately enjoyed every minute of it. The first part of the summer my mom took me a lot to swim and we had plenty of pool dates. The second part of the summer, when the temperature was around 100 F, my dad was taking me regularly for my last hour, before going to sleep, to the pool. That was my "happy hour", the only way to keep me decent! I have found myself a great activity that over the time I managed to do completly on my own, no supervision. I actually should have gotten some wages for it but oh well I will let it slide now. I started to check all the drainig around the pool. First I needed help to open up the covers but by the end of the season you can see it on the pictures I am a natural. I found many treasures by uncovering the drains, like zillion of the bugs, showels, balls, little toys. I am already thinking about the fall season and what I should be doing.

Wilmington--CLICK on the photo to see more

More pictures and video if you click on the photo!

It was Apa-Daddy's birthday weekend. His wish was to go to Wilmington and visit the Wilmington McCormicks and go out with the boat. He got his wish, we all had a marvelous time and Saturday night mom and dad , even got to go out because Aunty was watching me while I was deeply in sleep. They kept telling me there is a kitty cat, named Zoe in the house but she was hiding from me, I was just chasing to see her. Maybe, next time!

Thank you for the time together, we really had so much FUN!
