A long time ago, I used parts from the Diaper Wipes Warmer, the "Talking Sheep to Sleep" and WiFi CribCam, networked my Boppy Bouncer to the LCD screen on my pack-and-play and can got access to email and my blog pretty much anytime, now I just use my iPad.

Silhouettes
This Summer Ms. Becky took some silhouette pictures of my family. The whole time I was asking for Owen, her son and at the same time, my friend. :-) Look at the pictures, they turned out a-m-a-z-i-n-g!!!

Heni's Baby shower party
Couple of weeks ago mommy has left for a weekend to go and celebrate with her girlfriend and her husband because soon they will have a baby. This photo was taken at the baby shower party. Congratulations, we are so, so happy for YOU and I can't wait to play with your son soon!
...
But this is a picture I made for mommy with the help of dad -of course- to let her know how much I have missed her. That night I had to talk and tell everything to mommy, my mommy and daddy was only allowed to listen. :-)

What do doctors do?
This week doctors and nurses are the talking topics at daycare. Lorent is the best at having this conversation, simply for the fact that he knows the ins and outs of the local emergency hospital by heart and we have regular visits at the doctor office as well.
Just this past Friday we had to go to see the doctor because " the crabs are pinching my ear" --said Lorent , so I knew it is an ear ache.
After we were done in the room he came out with a huge smile and jumping, saying:"We had so much fun , mommy!" What can I say, I'm happy he feels this way about the doctor office. :-)

Aliz, Peter and Marcell
Marcell has all grown up, can't believe he is already 6 years old! They have dined and vined us , Peter and Aliz are definitely the best cooks and hostesses we know. There is nothing better then pick up a great conversation that you left off two years ago but you are able to go on like time would not have passed. Thank YOU for having us!

Horseback riding
Note from mom: Sammy invited us to ride his horse: Caleigh. In the past, Lorent loved it and gave the horse carrots and just generally was happy to be around the horses. Not this time. He hardly wanted to go for one ride around, so I didn't make him. He just wanted to follow Peti around. What ever Peti was doing Lorent was right there, imitating it. It was kind of funny!
If you give a moose a muffin
Lorent always loved baking muffins. At times he is the muffin man. Now, he likes to read the book: If You Give a Moose a Muffin, (bake the muffins and eat them.) The other night he ate 5 of the apple, crunchy muffins.
Driving around
Lorent became good driving around his little power wheels truck that now he can give a lift his little friend.
Garbage Trucks
I think if Lorent could choose his career at this point of his life, he would be a garbage truck owner. He loves all the garbage trucks, he loves to get the trash in the trash bins and selects the different garbage types. Every Wednesday when the Raleigh garbage men are coming to collect the trash, he is the first one running to see them. Recycling is a part of his vocabulary and he adores their job. :-)
Uncle Terry reading Barney
Loren LOVES his family. He can smell, touch - I am not sure how he knows exactly - if somebody is part of our family. Especially if it is a male relative. Uncle Terry tries to come as often as he can and Lorent truly enjoys being with him. Here they are talking - reading the Barney on the Farm book. Adorable!
The first scooter ride--videos
Lorent is amazing with the new things he can do recently. One of those developments has been that he has learned to ride the scooter. That was two weeks ago, now he is a pro. :-) See the videos from the very first time:

Grandma McCormick
These are my favorites from this summer vacation with Grandma McCormick. How Lorent says it: "Grandma Cormick" :-))))) Love YOU Grandma, love the gorgeous pictures of the three of YOU!
2 year old check up list report
This was also on my list since January to post, it was his two years old check up report card. I just want to remember it!!! We had to go to see the doctor this last Friday and Lorent is 33 pounds :-) He is growing and getting very tall.
Hilarious!
It is a long time that I had written a blog entry and I am soooo behind. But ...this weekend we went to Hill Ridge Farm with our friends, Sandy, Alex and Bill and they took this picture about us. It is HILARIOUS!!!!!!
Of course, Lorent had to do everything at minimum twice: we rode the hay ride twice, the choo-choo train twice and he could have done it even more!!! We saw the little ducklings and we did the pony ride -- all on a very very beautiful day.

Inca Trail?
This is a trail in Moravia, NY - Filmore Glen Park. It has a waterfall
and this stairway leads to the top. I counted all the way. 1, 2, 3, 5,
6, 8, 10! And just because I'm 2.5, don't think for a minute I needed
help - I did it all by myself!

Husking Corn
I'm in Skanesteles, NY and the corn here is really good. Here, Punkey
and I are working on husking a few ears for dinner.

Shoes
The BLACK week
A note from Mom:
In Hungarian we have a saying: "If there is trouble it will come in threes". It was not the case for us at all this past week, it was more then that!
Last Sunday we went to the Eno River Festival. Lorent was very happy that we are going to another party :-) -- and-- we will use the bus too! As soon as we arrived he has rocketed out from the car, run around the back, to the tailpipe, and touched it. Of course he burnt himself on his hand, why and how he got to this idea, no clue. Thanks to Theo that he is always overly prepared, ha had an icy stick with him so we were able to use it right away on Lorent's hand , it has helped; still, the next day the skin had bubbled up into a blister.
Wednesday morning, walking Ocean and Lorent at the same time, a big accident happened: Lorent was tipped over and out - and fell into the mailbox post, hit his forehead and it opened up very deeply. He was bleeding everywhere, we could not even see where and how is the cut. Headed to the ER (where he was an angel) he knew all the doors, all the in and outs and played quite cheerfully until the three stitches. After the PA was done, Lorent stood up and said: Let's go home!
I have never seen anything like this, this kid is unstoppable! At the end of the day we asked him: "How was school today?" and he gave us the usual answer: "Good, played with Ms. Robin." We asked: "Are you sure?" He laughed and said: "Yes." :-)))
(Of course,he never made it to school that day, but it shows how he can "shake it off". The 'it' might be anything! Since he was little, we are teaching him that if you fall "just shake it off" and HE DOES.)
The next day I was picking up Lorent from school (the whole day my stomach was in knots, just waiting for the phone call that something happened with Lorent) when the pick up time came and I could just go and pick him up I was very relieved. As a snack, I got him his favorite: a muffin. He sits in the car, I go around and sit in the driver seat and he cries out: "It bit me!" A bee stung him on his leg! I could not believe how a bee could get into the car without me seeing it but at this point I drove home like a maniac and wanted to give him Benadryl because one of his Uncle's were/are allergic to bee stings. I am 40 years old but have never been bitten by a bee and this week (when already so much has happened) he gets bitten. Again: Can't believe it!
We almost made it through the week and again on Sunday in the last hour of the day he bumped his head with an other little boy that we were visiting. The stiched up gash from earlier in the week was bleeding again. We just cleaned it up, as the next day we had to go back to take out the stitches as scheduled. It turned out, no need for that - the stitches all popped out and his gash had opened back up. There is nothing else to do in this case, just wait until the body hills itself. So, now we are waiting!
And to top everything: both little boys ended up having poison ivy on them!
After this week, we just wanted to put Lorent into a bubble and keep him there. Of course, it is impossible and thanks G-D he is blessed with an unstoppable, unyielding personality which will benefit him in the long run if we manage to keep him alive. How our neighbor put it: All this happened to him too when he was a little boy, except over a period of 12 years!

Farmer Mary
Today, after school, we went to Farmer Mary's place. She has many animals, tools, equipment and things to play and learn. Here are a few pictures from the hour I was there.
That Donkey is not potty trained!
Hey! What's that goat doing?
I can cut grass, just like the sheep!
Look out for the Emu! Boom!
Mom, did I just drive over goat poop?

It's Dangerous!
Today, Mom took me to a puppet show at the library and i got to play a part in the show. I even had a line in the show and a crustacean costume!
Even though I had three stitches put in my forehead yesterday, im back on my feet and didn let anything bother me.
